Welcome to our family school where everyone matters, 'was lost but is found" Luke 15:11-32
Our Values,
Vision and Ethos
At Ingoldisthorpe Primary School, we have thought carefully and worked with our pupils, staff and governors to create a shared vision that reflects the family school that we are. We came together September 2018 to explore and write our vision. With the help of our local incumbent, we chose the following bible passage to root our vision in biblical teachings:

The Parables of the Prodigal Son
"Celebrate and be glad… he was lost and is found.” Luke 15:11-32

From this we worked together, prayed together and reflected together on why we are a distinctly Christian and what we aim to achieve. We thought about the values we could learn from this parable and how they reflect upon our children, families, staff and governors. Once we had thoroughly considered our values and our vision, we wrote our vision statement.

Our Vision Statement
We are a family school where everyone matters, with the local church and our community at our hearts. An engaging place where everyone is able to learn and thrive in a safe, positive, caring and enriching environment. Staff and pupils work together to uphold our Christian morals and values, where everyone is able to grow and achieve. We pride ourselves on offering a warm atmosphere, full of opportunities and hands on learning to enrich and broaden our social, emotional and academic learning. At Ingoldisthorpe our family loves to learn, develop, challenge ourselves, achieve highly and “celebrate and be glad.” Luke 15:11-32

Our Ethos
We are proud of our long history and Christian ethos: a family school where everyone matters, where we offer a secure, friendly family environment. It is an ideal setting for children to develop, thrive and succeed. The church is at the heart of our school. We actively promote family and inclusion. The church and the school are both physically and spiritually linked and as such the church and school play a large part in the lives of each other. We are proud of our caring, professional and experienced team of staff. We have a very supportive Governing Body and 'Friends' of the school. We value the strong links we maintain with our parents, the community and church. Children excel academically, socially and emotionally in our school. We provide a broad and balanced curriculum that celebrates each child's step by step successes. In our school you will find a welcoming atmosphere, a love of learning, and respect for all people.
