In mathematics at Ingoldisthorpe Primary School, we believe in a hands-on and interactive approach where children are challenged without limits. Children are given the opportunity to learn at their chosen level as well as given tasks which enable them to explore their own knowledge without limits. Children are taught using the CPA (concrete, pictorial, abstract) approach and are engaged in learning methods, concepts and number facts. Our children are very knowledgeable and haver regular access to tackling tables (times table programme,) daily arithmetic, quick maths or maths mastery. We also enjoy using I See Reasoning to support our learners with reasoning and applying their knowledge and calculations. We pride ourselves on giving our students the very best foundation possible for their next class, setting or key stage.
